Simon Cox

After studying Documentary and Editorial Photography, I moved to the field of Television Production.  For the last 12 years I have been working as a Lighting Cameraman, resulting so far in two award winning documentaries, an EMMY in 1999 and a Nat West EMMA in 2003, (detailed below).

I am highly versatile having filmed in many countries and on many diverse projects including crossing the Atlantic Ocean, filming in a Zero Gravity atmosphere, shooting in the Favelas of Brazil, to filming children learning to throw a Viking axe.

I am equally at home working closely with a team or left to my own resources. I fully understand the need for communication and the ability to have a true empathy with the contributor and subject matter whatever the conditions.  Highly skilled in all formats from DV to HD.
