Andy Mort
Offline Editor
I joined the BBC in 1979 as a lab technician in News & Current Affairs, London, after gaining a diploma in photography at Aberystwyth. In 1982 I moved on to become a picture editor at the department where I worked on many landmark events including the Falklands War. I moved to Bristol in 1985 to broaden my editing skills beyond current affairs, here I worked until June 2009 before leaving to become freelance.
I pride myself on my strong visual and creative sense, story telling, patience, a good sense of humour, and from those early years, calmness under pressure.
I am can operate both FCP and Avid.
