James Taggart

Offline Editor

I am a passionate, fun to work with and blisteringly fast Editor, with a good natural sense of story and rhythm. I love to develop upon the ideas that the team bring to the cutting room and come up with some of my own. I first discovered my love for editing at the age of 16, where I edited a Music Video for my school coursework. My first editing experience in the industry was soon after, where I was lucky enough to edit footage from ‘Natural World, Fatal Flower’ into a looping video shown at Kew Gardens. I joined ‘films @ 59’ Avid Support in 2000, where I worked for 6 years. During this time I gained a nomination for Best Editing at both Wildscreen and the Young Broadcast Awards, for my first film, ‘Dragonflies: Beauty or Beast’. My technical background helps with complicated Post Production workflows and Media Management.

I’m fluent on Avid and Final Cut Pro systems.
