Polly Rose
Freelance Offline Editor
An
experienced and versatile editor with a wide range of credits for all
major UK broadcasters, including observational documentaries and
formatted factual series, medical, property, travel, history and
entertainment programmes, daily magazine shows, inserts, reversioning
and short films.
I enjoy working collaboratively in the edit suite, I am also happy to
edit independently. I use Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro.
Particular strengths include character-based storytelling, editing to music, and showing presenters and experts at their most engaging, as well as clear and involving presentation of factual subjects, from Roman history in Meet the Ancestors to groundbreaking surgical procedures in Your Life in Their Hands (“...an extraordinary film about an extraordinary world” The Guardian.)
I
have edited inhouse for the BBC and for indies including RDF, Lion
Television, Ricochet and Talkback Thames. Recent credits include One Born: Plus Size Mums (Dragonfly for Channel 4) and The Guest Wing (Landmark Films for Sky Atlantic).
After working in London for many years I am now based back in my hometown of Bristol.
