Grading

Our three specialist Grading suites are each capable of working in both High & Standard Definition, in tape or tape-less formats.

Installed in 2008, we have two Nucoda Film Masters and one Final Cut Pro grading suite incorporating Color, Apple's high end colour correction software. In addition, we offer Symphony and DS Nitris grading (see online for further details).

The Nucoda Film Master is Digital Vision’s comprehensive colour grading and finishing solution for feature films, commercials, long form television and restoration. Primary and secondary colour correction, filters, area isolation (mattes) & bezier shapes with tracking can be applied to mutli-layered sequences. Advanced filters and plugins such as regrain, defocus and diffusion complete the look.   Digital Vision Optics (DVO) toolsets are acknowledged as the industry leaders in noise reduction & restoration.

Color is Apple’s new professional grading system and again is suitable for both short pieces and full length films used in conjunction with a Final Cut Pro workflow. A tangent panel is installed to drive the software to increase productivity and allow creative talents to shine through.  Color provides primary and secondary colour correction, filters, area isolation (mattes) & bezier shapes with tracking that can be applied to mutli-layered sequences. This suite also has Motion installed. Motion is Apple's 3D motion graphics and compositing application. Features of Motion include the ability to create custom particle effects and to add filters, effects and animations in real time.
