Adam Palmer

SOUND MIXER

Adam began his audio career at the BBC. Working in both TV and radio, he experienced a wide range of sound recording and mixing, including radio drama, pop, folk and classical music, sports outside broadcasts, live news and boom operating.

Adam joined Films at 59 as a Dubbing Mixer in 1997. He enjoys the variety of mixing that working at Films brings, and has worked across a spectrum of genres from documentary and natural history through to drama and animation as his credit list shows.

As a keen musician, Adam has a particular appreciation for how music works within a programme, and in 2004 Adam was Emmy nominated for Best Sound & Music in a Documentary for The Natural World: Ireland. Adam is excited by the role sound plays in a programme, and loves a film with a good story!

In his spare time, Adam plays with his family in a folk group, and with a community based rock band.
