Aled is an experienced Director of Photography and Lighting Cameraman with a passion for visual storytelling. After studying Photography and Film at Plymouth College of Art and Design, he started out as a photojournalist, covering conflicts around the world. In 1992, he returned to Wales to train as a cameraman and has been working freelance ever since.

Over the past 25+ years, Aled has filmed everything from dramas and documentaries to arts, children’s shows, and current affairs. His work has taken him from the remote rainforests of Madagascar to the heat of Gordon Ramsay’s kitchen in New York.

Aled loves collaborating with creative teams to bring stories to life, but he’s just as comfortable working independently, combining technical skill with a strong eye for detail and narrative.
