Amy Swan

Originally from Calgary Alberta, I’ve lived and worked in England for about 10 years now during which I have had the good fortune to work on a string of wonderful productions which have let me travel across the UK and work with some amazingly talented editors and directors. I have just relocated to Bristol from London and I’m very excited to get stuck in.

I moved up to the Assembly Editor chair from Assistant on ‘Clique’ (Series II, BBC3), and followed up assembling ‘The Trouble with Maggie Cole’ (ITV1). I’ve worked across a wide range of genres – children’s television, factual, drama, comedy, commercials and short film formats – for networks and platforms from BBC and ITV to Netflix. I am an associate member of the British Guild of Film Editors and BAFTA Crew. I work primarily with AVID.

My passion is storytelling and I love collaborating. I pride myself on being a good listener and making others feel at ease; I’m good at handling the pressures of the edit suite with a calm and always positive outlook. I’m as comfortable working independently as I am collaborating, and I love immersing myself in the edit.

I’m always keen to turn my hand to new projects! I’d love to sit down with you and discuss your production. Based in Bristol, I’ll go where the work takes me.
