SOUND EDITOR ....

James joined the Films at 59 dubbing department in 1997. He has extensive experience in creative sound editing and is confident providing tracklay for wide range of Natural History, Drama and Documentary genres.

His attention to detail and creative flair has shown he performs consistently well across many genres gaining a number of award nominations and wins.

Recently James has worked on ‘McDonald & Dodds’, feature-length crime dramas for ITV. And a 12 part family action drama series for Netflix and Wildseed productions.

In 2021 James won an RTS Award in the best sound category for China’s Hidden Kingdoms, Brian Leith Productions. He was also Bafta nominated in 2018 for best sound on the BBC NHU series ‘Mountains: Life at the Extreme’, and Emmy nominated for best sound in 2005 for his work on The Natural World ‘Ireland’ for PBS (previously a Natural World for BBC).
