SOUND EDITOR & FOLEY ARTIST

Jonathon joined Films at 59 in February 2012 after finishing a degree in Sound Technology. He spent several years working alongside the dubbing department establishing his knowledge of post production processes and audio workflow.

Jonathon is a detail-orientated sound editor in addition to being an imaginative and inventive Foley Artist who has performed, recorded and edited Foley for many popular Television series. He has experience in both short and long-form film, natural history, drama, factual and animation projects that have delivered to a variety of television broadcasters and online streaming services.

In 2022 Jonathon was nominated for an MPSE Golden Reel Award in ‘Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Non-Theatrical Documentary’ for Foley work on ‘Life in Colour with David Attenborough – Seeing in Color’ (Netflix), and an RTS West of England Award nomination in ‘Best Sound’ for ‘The Year Earth Changed’ (Apple TV+).

In recent months, Jonathon has performed Foley for ‘Our Planet II’ (Netflix), ’Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold’ (Disney+) and ‘Big Beasts’ (Apple TV+).
