Jonathon Cawte


Jonathon (BSc) began working at  Films at 59 in 2011 and has worked on natural history, documentary, animation, daytime and drama projects for a variety of broadcasters such as Netflix, Apple TV+, National Geographic/Disney+ and the BBC. He is a communicative sound editor and Foley artist, and was part of the sound team that won the ‘best sound’ award at the 2021 Unrestricted View Film Festival & ‘Gold Award for best sound’ at the Independent Shorts Awards in LA with Officer Down (Deniable Productions). Jonathon has also been nominated for a MPSE Golden Reel Award  in Outstanding Achievement in Sound Editing – Non-Theatrical Documentary for Foley work on ‘Life in Colour with David Attenborough – Seeing in Color’ (Netflix)

Jonathon has recently performed Foley for the feature length crime drama series McDonald and Dodds for ITV. Other Foley work includes Dreamflight (Sky Kids), Love Monster (CBeebies), One Zoo Three (CBBC), A Perfect Planet (BBC) and Savage Kingdom (National Geographic), all recorded from our dedicated Foley space in Brockley village.
